Our Story
Margaree Castle Building Centre opened its doors in Margaree with a simple goal: bring quality building materials and honest, local service to the Inverness & Richmond County communities. Local owners Nolan Brown and David MacLean, saw an opportunity to grow something rooted right here at home, and in early 2024, they joined the Castle Building Centres Group — giving neighbours and builders across the Margaree and beyond access to trusted brands and manufacturers without ever losing that small-town, know-your-name feel. From framing lumber to paint and hardware, we've built our shelves around what local builders, renovators, and DIYers actually need. But what really sets us apart isn't on the shelf — it's the people behind the counter who grew up here, know the area, and are happy to help you figure out the right materials for the job, big or small.

Community
Margaree Castle isn't just a building supply store — it's also developing it's own part of the fabric of this community. We're proud to support local events, sponsor local highschools like CBHA, and lend a hand wherever we can by donating materials and doing give aways, because when the Margaree area thrives, we all do. Whether it's cheering on local builders taking on a new project, showing up for community celebrations, or simply being a place where neighbours run into each other, we take that role seriously.
